Payton Meineke, a sophomore at Riverdale Ridge High, finished fifth in the Class 4A girls final by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 18:16.0 at the Colorado High School Activities Association Cross Country Championships at Norris Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs. Meineke improved from 27th last season in her state meet debut.
