Junior Kennedy McDonald, freshman Cassidy McDonald and junior Sophia Valentine all placed in the top 10 to lead The Classical Academy to its third consecutive girls 3A team crown and the 13th title in program history, the most by any girls program in the history of the Colorado High School Activities Association state championship meet. Kennedy McDonald covered the 5-kilometer course in 19:13.4 to place second at Norris Penrose Events Center in Colorado Springs, with Cassidy McDonald securing eighth in 19:35.1 and Valentine clocking 19:37.5 to finish ninth as The Classical Academy overcame the absence of sophomore Sawyer Wilson to still prevail by a 65-113 margin over Holy Family.
